Eunoia Theatre is proud to present a staged reading of Iris Murdoch’s Art & Eros, in partnership with Arts Incarnate and the JMU Department of Philosophy and Religion.

Art & Eros
is a playful yet profound dramatic work on the nature of art, presenting us with timely (and timeless) questions about art’s relationship to truth and reality, to politics and religion, to beauty and morality, and to love.

Lighthearted and enlightening, it is Iris Murdoch’s updated take on a Socratic dialogue, in which we find Socrates, Plato, and their friends gathered together to eat, drink, and wrestle not only with art’s meaning but also for each other’s attention—and affection.

Free to the public.
Reservations not required.
